<h3 class="heading-node">Overview</h3>Our “Tutorial” sections in <a class="link" href="https://docs.near.org">https://docs.near.org</a> is composed by a mixture of “tutorials” - explaining how to build something around a concept (e.g. how to create an auction) - and “examples” - showcasing a specific concept in action (e.g. an app that generates random numbers on-chain).We are inviting contributors to help us migrate our examples into tutorials. For example, if you choose to work on the “randomness” tutorial, the focus should be on randomness:<ul class="list-node tight" data-tight="true"><li>Explain the concept</li><li>Explain trade-offs, alternatives</li><li>Explain how to test for randomness</li></ul>Most of the tutorial should be focus on that, and not on tangential topics such as “how to connect the frontend, how to compile the contract, how to deploy it, etc<h3 class="heading-node">Timeline</h3><ul class="list-node tight" data-tight="true"><li>Start Date: Jul 28 2025, 00:00 (UTC)</li><li>Submission Deadline: Aug 31, 2025 00:00 (UTC)</li><li>Judging Period: Sep 1, 2025 – Sep 7, 2025</li><li>Winner Announced: Sep 8, 2025</li></ul><h3 class="heading-node">Evaluation Criteria</h3><ul class="list-node"><li>Humanness – Was it actually written by a human? or does it read like an AI tutorial?</li><li>Clarity – How easy is to understand the post for a mid-level developer</li><li>On-Point – Is it succinct and focused on a topic? Does it actually cover the topic that is relevant for the tutorial?</li><li>Accuracy &amp; Completeness: Does the tutorial cover the topic completely? Does it contain correct and verifiable information?</li><li>Usefulness – Does the post adds value for a developer trying to choose a blockchain?</li></ul><h3 class="heading-node">Eligibility</h3>We will discard low-quality AI posts, or posts written on its majority by an AI.
